How Trade2Teach collects, uses and protects personal information.

Version 0.3 · Effective date: 23 September 2026 · Last reviewed: 23 September 2026

1. Who we are

Trade2Teach is the trading name of Trade2Teach Ltd, a UK-facing vocational talent and intelligence service.

Data controller: Trade2Teach Ltd, trading as Trade2Teach. Registered and business address: 11 Yelden Close, Rushden, NN10 9AE. Company number: 17438407.

Questions or requests about your information can be sent to hello@trade2teach.com.

2. Information we collect

When you register, we may collect your name, email, phone number, preferred contact channel, date of birth and derived age band; postcode, coordinates and derived town, county or region; travel radius; trade or trades; occupation and employer; employment status; years of experience; sectors and areas of expertise; management, apprentice-supervision and training experience; qualifications, including free-text “other” qualifications; teaching history, interest, preferred teaching types and motivation; availability, working patterns, days and hours; salary bands; and anything else you choose to tell us.

We create a structured Talent Profile from those answers. We do not require you to upload a CV.

We also collect the choices and wording recorded when you give, refuse or withdraw consent; registration source, timestamps, form version, audit records and limited security information such as user-agent details and a protected hash of the network address used at submission.

If you contact us, we collect your name, organisation (if given), email, phone (if given), enquiry type and message. Our site also uses the browser and technical storage described in our cookie policy.

3. Why we use information and our lawful bases

We use information to receive and validate registrations; create, maintain and review Talent Profiles; respond to enquiries; provide save-and-return links; keep the service secure; maintain consent and audit evidence; contact people about opportunities where permitted; manage college requirements internally; support consent-based introductions; and produce aggregated, non-identifying talent intelligence.

Consent is used for optional opportunity contact, marketing and each specific introduction where identifiable Talent information would be shared. You may refuse or withdraw those choices without changing the lawfulness of earlier processing.

Operational processing may rely on steps you ask us to take, compliance with legal obligations, and Trade2Teach’s legitimate interests in operating a secure vocational talent service, maintaining records, improving it and responding to enquiries. The final lawful-basis mapping and any balancing assessment are [LEGAL REVIEW]; this notice does not present those decisions as legally settled.

4. Introductions and sharing with colleges

Trade2Teach staff manage college and provider requirements internally. There is no college portal and no public Talent Profile.

We do not share identifiable Talent information with a college or training provider for an introduction unless you have consented to that specific introduction. We record the organisation, purpose, channel, wording and time of that consent. Any later employment or engagement decision belongs to you and the college or provider.

We may share aggregated or non-identifying intelligence, such as talent counts by trade or region. We use controls intended to prevent those reports from identifying individual people.

5. AI-assisted enrichment

After a completed registration, Trade2Teach currently uses the Lovable AI gateway with Google Gemini 2.5 Flash to summarise, structure and tag information supplied by the Talent or derived by our existing deterministic processes.

AI-derived content is stored separately from candidate-supplied information, marked with its provider, model and prompt version, and placed into human review. It must not invent qualifications, employers, experience, teaching capability or other facts. We do not use it to rank or score people, make employment decisions, or make solely automated decisions with legal or similarly significant effects.

Provider data-handling, processing locations, retention and international-transfer terms require [VERIFY] before legal approval.

6. Service providers and international transfers

We use service providers for hosting, database, authentication and storage through Lovable Cloud; transactional application email from Trade2Teach <noreply@trade2teach.com>; postcode validation and location enrichment through Postcodes.io; AI processing through the Lovable AI gateway and its configured model provider; and Google Analytics 4 only when it is configured and you have actively consented.

Providers process information for the purposes described here and under contractual or technical controls appropriate to their role. The complete processor/subprocessor list, processing locations and any UK international-transfer safeguards remain [VERIFY / LEGAL REVIEW]. We do not claim that all processing stays in the UK.

7. Analytics and browser storage

Google Analytics 4 is optional. It does not load or receive page-view events until you accept analytics. We exclude staff sign-in and staff pages, configure IP anonymisation and do not intentionally send Talent Profile, registration or contact-form information to analytics.

Essential storage can still be used for service operation, security, authentication, registration progress and remembering your cookie choice. You can change your choice through Cookie settings in the footer.

8. How long we keep information

We keep an active Talent Profile while the individual remains registered and Trade2Teach has a current legitimate purpose for maintaining it. We periodically review profiles and will honour withdrawal or erasure requests by deleting or anonymising personal information where there is no continuing lawful reason to retain it. The formal review interval remains [OWNER / LEGAL REVIEW — SPECIFY INTERVAL].

We keep other records only for as long as needed for their stated purpose, security, legal compliance or the establishment, exercise or defence of legal claims. The final retention schedule for AI enrichment and review history, specific introductions, lead requests, enquiries, transactional email records, and security and audit logs remains [LEGAL REVIEW — SPECIFY JUSTIFIED PERIODS AND START EVENTS].

Consent history, including evidence of withdrawal, may need to remain as a limited audit record after withdrawal, subject to the final retention schedule and any continuing lawful basis. Withdrawal stops future consent-based use; it does not necessarily require deletion of evidence needed to show that the withdrawal was honoured.

Incomplete save-and-return registration drafts are stored for 30 days; browser-session drafts normally end with that browser session. Analytics and consent-choice storage are described in the cookie policy; exact GA4 durations remain [VERIFY].

9. Your rights

Depending on the circumstances, UK data protection law may give you rights to access, correct, erase or restrict your information; object to processing; receive certain information in a portable form; and withdraw consent. You also have rights concerning solely automated decisions, although Trade2Teach does not use AI to make such significant decisions.

Email hello@trade2teach.com and describe your request. We may ask for enough information to confirm your identity. There is normally no fee, although the legal exceptions are [LEGAL REVIEW].

You may complain to the UK Information Commissioner’s Office at ico.org.uk/make-a-complaint. We would welcome the opportunity to address your concern first.

10. Adults, security and changes

Registration is intended for adults considering vocational teaching or training. The form expects adult Talent and is not designed as a service for children. If we learn that a child’s information has been submitted, we will review and delete or otherwise handle it appropriately.

We use role-based staff access, access controls, protected authentication, audit records, separation of candidate and AI-derived data, consent checks, validation and other organisational and technical safeguards. No online service can promise absolute security.

We will update this notice when our service or legal obligations change. Material changes will receive a new version and effective date.
